Mercari Shops Coupon vs Mercari Coupon: Check Before You Pay
A Shops seller coupon may appear on an eligible listing, while a platform coupon follows different rules. Verify eligibility and the actual discount before submitting an order.

A coupon seen somewhere in Mercari is not proof that a specific Shops item will be discounted. Mercari’s official shop-coupon guide describes offers issued by individual shops. Start with the exact product and seller page you intend to buy from, then verify whether an active offer appears there.
Where a shop-issued coupon appears
The official guide says an eligible item page may show prompts such as “Get a coupon by following the shop” or a price after applying a coupon. That is product-specific information. A coupon seen on one item is not a guarantee for every listing from that shop, so check again when switching products.
Mercari says shop coupons do not appear in the ordinary “My Page > Coupons” area. Not seeing one there does not settle whether an eligible product has a shop coupon. Conversely, a different coupon listed in My Page is not automatically usable on every Shops purchase.
Eligibility and the final checkout check
Read the conditions attached to the actual offer: following the shop if required, any minimum spend, expiry and remaining quantity. These can change. A screenshot from another day cannot establish today’s eligibility. The official help also limits which coupon types can be combined in one purchase, so do not assume several discounts will stack.
At checkout, inspect whether the coupon is selected and applied and whether the total reflects the expected reduction before pressing the final purchase button. Obtaining a coupon and applying it to this order are separate steps. Do not plan on adding a forgotten discount after the order is submitted.
If an offer shows as ineligible, check the follow requirement, exact item, order amount, expiry and quantity in that order. If the discount is still absent, pause rather than submitting a higher total by mistake. This guide cannot guarantee that a coupon will apply to any particular cart.
How this differs from a Mercari purchase coupon
Mercari’s general purchase-coupon guide also tells buyers to check terms and apply an eligible coupon during purchase. That platform coupon is distinct from a coupon issued by an individual Shops seller. Compare where each appears, which product it covers and the checkout rules shown for that order.
The same method applies when browsing Loop KOBE on Mercari Shops, a shop connected to Koetsu. This general guide is not an announcement that Loop KOBE currently offers a coupon. Unless an eligible listing displays one, use the live item price and terms rather than budgeting for an unconfirmed discount.
A buyer outside Japan should first verify whether their destination, item and chosen proxy or forwarding service can complete the purchase. A coupon displayed in a domestic checkout is not a promise that a different overseas purchasing route can use it. Neither Loop KOBE nor the personal shop is being presented here as offering worldwide direct shipping.
Koetsu checked both Mercari help pages on September 30, 2026. The practical sequence is to inspect the exact item, read that coupon’s terms, then verify the discount and total immediately before purchase. That turns “there might be a coupon” into a check of what this specific order actually shows.
