The first useful question is who places the order with the shop. Both routes may involve a Japanese warehouse, yet their responsibilities begin at different stages.
This guide compares the division of work for an individual buying an item. Before comparing prices, check whether the exact listing, your circumstances as a buyer and the destination are supported. A service that cannot accept the purchase will not solve the problem, however attractive its headline fee looks.
Proxy shopping starts with buying; forwarding starts with receiving
