Kirby × Hankyu: Choosing a Mascot or Plush
Shopping for Kirby or Waddle Dee Hankyu collectibles? Separate mascot, plush and BIG editions, then check the actual photos, tags, packaging and attachment details.

A search for “Kirby Hankyu” can bring up several collectibles wearing similar railway outfits. Start with two separate choices: the character, Kirby or Waddle Dee, and the product type, mascot or plush. Checking both words in a listing title is a better way to narrow the search than choosing only by a cute front-facing photo.

The collaboration trains ran from 22 August 2025 to 17 March 2026; this article is not an invitation to board those themed trains now. Keep an old collaboration’s merchandise separate from current travel plans.
Read the product type as well as the character
Hankyu’s official merchandise catalogue lists separate mascot and plush products for both Kirby and Waddle Dee. Merchandise sales began on 10 September 2025. Use that catalogue to distinguish the product names; its historical announcement does not establish current shop stock or today’s resale prices.

For carrying on a bag, inspect the attachment and fastener rather than assuming every small plush has the same chain. For a shelf, ask about height including the hat and the depth needed. Separately photographed products do not share a reliable scale: the size of the toy within an image cannot tell you which one will fit your display.
Two listings show what to inspect
Our Kirby mascot listing is described as new and unused. Its original photos show the bagged toy, a burgundy hat and a gold-coloured ball chain visible from the rear. A visible chain helps identify an attachment detail, but it does not make every seam or concealed surface inspectable through the bag.
The Waddle Dee plush listing is described by the seller as new and unopened. The original photos show its hat, shoulder pouch and a paper tag at the back. Treat “unopened” as the listing’s condition statement; the presence of a bag in a photo does not independently document the item’s entire storage history.
Keep the BIG edition separate
Hankyu separately announced a BIG onboard plush made to order. Do not transfer the dimensions or bonuses from that announcement to an ordinary mascot or plush. The two listings discussed here are not being presented as BIG editions, even though they share the same collaboration theme.
When similar results appear, make a short comparison with four fields: character, exact product type, measurements and included accessories. Leave unknown dimensions blank until they are confirmed. Borrowing a measurement from another listing because the outfit looks familiar can turn a useful comparison into the wrong purchase.
Return to the live listing before purchasing
